Window cleaning in Rogers, MN
Streak-free glass inside and out, cleaned by hand or with 0 PPM pure water by the owner who quotes it.
Rogers water runs about 375 PPM of hardness, the hardest in our service area, and wherever that water dries on glass, its minerals stay behind as white spots. Glass House cleans inside and out by hand or with a water-fed pole that rinses with water filtered to 0 PPM (no dissolved minerals), so the glass dries clear.
Frames and sills are wiped with every package, Standard removes and reinstalls screens, and Premium adds washed screens, cleaned tracks and the 10-Day Rain Guarantee. Every visit is backed by the Streak-Free Guarantee, and Carson Brenny, the owner, quotes the job, cleans the glass and walks it with you at the end.

ROGERS SPECIFICS
What window cleaning means in Rogers
The local conditions that shape how Glass House approaches window cleaning in Rogers, and the standards it holds to on every visit.
WATER
375 PPM, hardest in our area
Rogers water runs about 375 PPM (parts per million) of hardness, the hardest in our service area and roughly double the 180 PPM level the USGS calls very hard. The city lists iron at 1.3 to 1.6 PPM. That iron level is far above the 0.3 PPM point where the EPA notes staining begins, so sprinkler water drying on a house leaves orange stains on siding and concrete and white spots on glass. Our pure-water rinse is filtered to 0 PPM, so the cleaning itself never leaves mineral spots on the glass.
WATERING
Odd/even, May through September
Rogers water customers water on odd or even days from May 1 through September 30, and city water may not be used on lawns or gardens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Every cycle that reaches the house leaves another thin layer of iron and minerals where the spray dries, so a sprinkler head aimed at siding, glass or the driveway builds orange stains and white spots in the same place all summer.
PARKS AND LAKES
Crow-Hassan and the Crow River
The 2,182-acre Crow-Hassan Park Reserve lies within Rogers on the Crow River, and Henry Lake and Sylvan Lake are also in the city. Homes near water and open land sit in damper air, so siding, roofs and decks dry slowly after rain and dew and grow algae and mildew sooner. Pollen and insects also collect on siding and glass. Glass near water collects more film and buildup, and lake lots are where much of our work takes place.
HOMES
A median home built in 2004
The median Rogers home was built in 2004. Algae and mildew start as a thin film that washes off easily. Left for several seasons, the film spreads, works into the texture of siding and shingles and stains more deeply, so a newer home stays easiest to maintain when growth is washed off early. Homes of that era often have gridded windows, and each grid receives the same full cleaning as a whole window.

HOW WE CLEAN WINDOWS
Two methods, one streak-free result
The method depends on the window, the home and the access. Neither is a lesser option, and many homes receive a combination of both on the same visit.
TINTED GLASS
Tinted glass is cleaned without steel wool. A non-abrasive applicator and a squeegee remove nearly all soiling, although hard debris and anything trapped behind the film cannot be removed. There is no different charge for tinted glass.
01
Walk-around first
Every job begins with a walk-around. Carson checks the windows, screens, access and anything fragile, confirms your package, and raises any concern with you before anything is wetted, so the right method is used on each window.
02
Traditional hand cleaning
A T-bar applicator wets the glass with Dawn dish soap and water, and #0000 steel wool loosens stuck debris without scratching. A professional squeegee cuts in along the edge and fans across the pane in one continuous pull, and lint-free towels finish the frames, edges and sills.
03
Pure water for height and grids
Reverse osmosis, carbon and deionization filters in the van bring the water to 0 PPM. A carbon fiber pole reaching over 60 feet carries a boar's hair brush that scrubs the glass and frames, then a top-to-bottom rinse leaves nothing on the glass to spot as it dries.
04
Screens, tracks and sills
The sill, the ledge visible with the window closed, receives a courtesy wipe with every package. Standard removes and reinstalls screens to reach the glass, and Premium also hand-washes the screens and cleans the tracks, the channel beneath the sash where debris collects.
05
Final walkthrough
Carson walks the finished job with you before the visit is complete, so any concern is settled on the spot. If you notice a streak within 72 hours, tell us and we will correct the affected glass at no charge under the Streak-Free Guarantee.
FOR ROGERS HOMES
What to know before your visit
SPRING
Pollen and winter film
A spring cleaning removes the road film and salt spray left by winter, along with the first pollen of the year, which makes spring the natural start of the season.
SPRINKLERS
Aim away from glass
Rogers water is hard, so every cycle that hits a window leaves another layer of minerals behind. Aim each head at the lawn, never at the house, and the spotting stops building.
FALL
Before November 15
The exterior season runs March 1 through November 15. A fall cleaning clears the summer's pollen and fresh sprinkler spots, and clean glass lets more winter light into the home.
BASIC PACKAGE
Screens out beforehand
On Basic, the exterior-only package, please take the screens out before we arrive. That gives access to all of the glass, and it means you do not need to be home.

THE OWNER
The hardest water on the route, in Rogers
Glass House belongs to Carson Brenny, who runs it without crews, subcontractors or handoffs. He quotes every Rogers window job himself, does the cleaning himself and walks the finished glass with the customer. The business is based in Ham Lake, carries $2,000,000 in general liability insurance, and counts Rogers among the cities on its regular route.
Rogers water runs about 375 PPM of hardness, the hardest Glass House serves, and the city lists iron at 1.3 to 1.6 PPM. Sprinklers carry both onto the glass from May through September. Carson rinses with 0 PPM pure water and says plainly when spots have etched in.
IN CARSON'S WORDS

EQUIPMENT AND METHODS
Two methods, often on the same visit
By hand: a T-bar wets the glass, #0000 steel wool made for glass lifts bonded debris, and a professional squeegee is cut in at the edge and fanned in one continuous pull before lint-free surgical towels finish the frames and sills. By pole: reverse osmosis, carbon and deionization filters in the van bring the water to 0 PPM, and a boar's hair brush on a carbon fiber pole reaches six stories. If a meter reading reaches 15 PPM, the filter resin is replaced before the next job. Every ladder carries padded standoffs and levelers, and no ladder is ever brought inside.
ROGERS QUESTIONS
Window Cleaning in Rogers: FAQ
Is Rogers water hard enough to spot my windows?
Yes. Rogers city water runs about 375 PPM of hardness, and the USGS calls anything over 180 PPM very hard. PPM means parts of dissolved minerals per million parts of water. Wherever sprinkler or hose water dries on glass, those minerals stay behind as white spots. Our rinse water is filtered to 0 PPM, so the cleaning itself leaves nothing behind, and aiming sprinklers away from the glass keeps new spots from forming.
Do you serve all of Rogers?
Yes, every neighborhood in Rogers. Glass House is based in Ham Lake, and Rogers is part of its regular north metro service area, so there is no trip fee. Carson quotes, cleans and walks every job himself, wherever in Rogers your home is.
What if it rains right after?
Premium includes the 10-Day Rain Guarantee. If rain causes noticeable spotting on the exterior glass within 10 days, we return and touch up the affected panes at no charge.
How long does a visit take?
Smaller jobs take about one to two hours. Larger homes, or visits that combine several services, can take half a day to a full day. Carson includes a realistic time estimate with your quote.
How should I prepare?
Turn on your outside spigot and make sure it is reachable, move belongings and furniture away from windows and sills, and mention any tint, storm windows or grids when you book.
Is steel wool safe on my windows?
Yes, in the grade we use. #0000 steel wool is an ultra-fine grade made for glass, and it is excellent on fingerprints and stuck debris. It is never used on tinted windows, so please tell us about any window film when you book.
