Safety-first

Electrical boundaries are real.

Built for Minnesota winters, real roofline problems, and safer seasonal presentation.

The goal is to help homeowners understand what matters, what is included, and where the service fits best.

OVERVIEW

Holiday lighting should feel polished and be approached with real respect for outdoor electrical safety.

Holiday Lighting at Glass House is for homeowners who want a cleaner, more polished seasonal look without treating outdoor electrical conditions casually. The page should help readers understand both the visual side of the service and the safety boundaries that matter.

Seasonal presentation

The goal is a finished seasonal look that feels more intentional, more premium, and less improvised.

Outdoor electrical boundaries matter

Lighting work depends on safe product choices, safe connections, and outlets that are appropriate for the load and the environment.

Clear limits build trust

Glass House is not a licensed electrician and does not inspect, verify, certify, or confirm that exterior outlets and wiring are up to code.

PLAN OPTIONS

Homeowners can choose a 1-year plan or a 3-year plan.

Holiday Lighting is structured to make the service feel easier and more predictable over time. Homeowners can choose a 1-year plan or a 3-year plan, and the 3-year plan is discounted 10 percent.

1-year plan

A strong fit for homeowners who want a polished custom display for the coming season and want to experience the process first.

3-year plan — 10% off

A strong fit for homeowners who already know they want a cleaner and more stress-free holiday setup year after year. The 3-year plan is discounted 10 percent.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

A holiday-lighting service should feel more organized than a box of lights and a ladder.

Holiday Lighting is quote required because home size, rooflines, trees, access, layout complexity, and lighting design needs vary too much from project to project.

Included

Typically ranges from $600-$1,800

Design-minded presentation

The goal is a cleaner and more intentional finished look rather than a rushed seasonal install that feels random or overloaded. Homeowners receive a presentation first, then choose the design direction that best matches their vision before the lights are custom cut.

Included

Seasonal lighting setup

The service is built around the property layout, visual goals, and the safest realistic approach to installation for that specific home. Starting pricing begins at $600, with custom-cut luxury C9 lighting built around the home.

Included + Boundary

Stress-free all season long

Installation, takedown, and storage are built into the plan to make the season easier for the homeowner. If exterior outlets, wiring conditions, or access concerns appear unsafe or inappropriate, the scope may still need to be adjusted or declined.

DESIGN OPTIONS

Holiday lighting should feel customizable, not one-size-fits-all.

The page should help homeowners understand the kinds of lighting layouts they can choose from and how the visual direction can change the whole feel of the home.

Rooflines, peaks, and ridgelines

A cleaner roofline layout is often the biggest visual anchor of the whole display and can make the home feel sharper immediately.

Windows, entries, wreaths, and garland accents

Some homes want a more complete seasonal look that includes entry accents, windows, wreaths, garland, or focal-point elements around the front of the home.

Warm white, classic color, or a more restrained premium look

Some homeowners want a classic warm-white roofline. Others want color. The page should make room for both cleaner traditional looks and more festive seasonal layouts.

MATERIALS WE USE

The materials support both presentation and safety.

Homeowners should know that the service is not just “hanging lights.” It uses seasonal-lighting materials and attachment methods chosen around outdoor use, clean presentation, and the realities of the home.

Commercial-grade LED lighting products

The page is designed around luxury C9 bulbs in the homeowner’s choice of color rather than treating all temporary seasonal products as interchangeable.

Roofline clips and application-matched attachment hardware

Attachment methods should match the roofline and the surface so the display looks cleaner and the install feels more intentional. Glass House does not staple, nail, or screw in lights.

Outdoor-rated cords, timers, and connection planning

Outdoor-rated materials and cleaner connection planning help the display feel more polished while still respecting electrical boundaries and seasonal safety guidance.

CAPABILITIES

Homeowners should know what they are actually getting from the service.

The value is not only the finished look. It is the combination of design-minded planning, cleaner material selection, safer installation thinking, and clearer communication throughout the process.

Cleaner design direction

Glass House helps homeowners create a more intentional lighting layout instead of a display that feels random, cluttered, or uneven. After the presentation is approved, the lights are custom cut to the home.

Safer seasonal setup

The page makes clear that outdoor-rated materials, connection planning, and electrical boundaries are part of the service conversation from the start.

Clear homeowner expectations

Homeowners should leave the page understanding what is included, what is not, where the safety lines are, how the starting price works, and how the install / takedown timeline is handled.

GUARANTEES AND SERVICE STANDARDS

Full service makes the standard feel clear.

Our Holiday Lighting services should feel thoughtful, safe, professionally handled, and genuinely stress free for the homeowner.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Glass House stands behind its services with high standards. If a service does not live up to that standard of quality, it should not be charged for. That same standard applies to the overall Holiday Lighting experience, not just the day of installation.

Season-Long Warranty

Wether just a bulb goes out, or a strand of lights- let us know and within 72 hours we will come out free of charge, and replace that bulb right away.

THE HOLIDAY LIGHTING PROCESS

The service is designed to feel organized and stress free from design to takedown.

Homeowners should know exactly what happens after they say yes, what the deposit is for, and how installation and takedown are scheduled.

1. Presentation and design choice

Each homeowner gets a free consultation, and design mockup to make sure everyone is on the same page, and we're nailing the colors selected.

2. 50% deposit and custom cutting

After the design is agreed upon, and an install week is selected, we take a 50% deposit up front to order the C9 lights in the desired color, and cut them custom to the home, at which point they are packed, labeled, and ready for install.

3. Install, takedown, and storage

Glass House calls when heading over for installation during the homeowners selected week in November/December. Takedown timing is also selected in advance for February or early March. After we take the lights down, we store the lights year round included in the plan.

WHAT THE SAFETY GUIDANCE SAYS

Holiday lighting should look good and still respect product and electrical safety rules.

CPSC holiday-lighting guidance emphasizes using safer seasonal lighting products, not overloading circuits, checking for damaged strings, using outdoor-rated products, and using GFCI protection outdoors. That aligns well with Glass House’s design-minded but boundary-aware approach.

Use products meant for seasonal lighting

Safety guidance points toward using lighting with the right safety features instead of treating all light strings as interchangeable.

Outdoor use really means outdoor use

Outdoor lights and extension products should be rated for the conditions and tied into GFCI-protected outdoor power where appropriate.

Overload risk is real

Holiday guidance specifically warns against overloading outlets and stringing too many incandescent sets together.

ELECTRICAL POLICY AND BOUNDARIES

Glass House is not a licensed electrician.

We are not licensed electricians, and as such we cannot verify, certify, inspect, or confirm that your home’s exterior outlets and electrical work are up to code or properly installed and sealed. Homeowners should have exterior outlets inspected by a qualified electrician if there is any doubt about their condition or installation.

Outlet condition matters

If outlets or wiring look questionable, the safest path is electrician involvement rather than pushing ahead and hoping.

Lighting safety is part of the service

The point is not just hanging lights. It is doing the job in a way that respects the electrical realities of the home.

Scope may change or stop

If conditions are unsafe, inappropriate, or outside what should reasonably be done, the scope may need to be adjusted or declined.
